The perfect work Christmas Party Outfit
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas season is here - I’m not sure about you but Mariah has arrived at Fashiola HQ and we’re belting out those Crimbo tunes at the office!
The festive season takes a lot of prep - after taking it easy for the last month in anticipation of all the mulled wine readily available throughout December, you then need to make sure you’ve pulled your Christmas jumper out of the attic ready for Christmas Jumper Day. But the most preparation? It has to be the work Christmas party - and what you’re going to wear! (especially amongst a group of editors). Every year without fail I listen to the murmurs of ‘hmm, I’m not really sure what to wear to a Christmas party?’ Well, throw me a red hat and call me Janta (Jade + Santa, duh!) because I have some fabulous outfit ideas for you no matter what your budget.
Quick head’s up - the do’s and don'ts
I’ve been to one or two Christmas parties in my time, so trust me - the key to enjoying the best work Christmas party outfit is comfort! Work Christmas Parties go on for hours and hours, so my first piece of advice is to keep the heels low or opt for a boot.
If you’re going for dinner, make sure your outfit is loose fitting so that you can eat to your heart's desire. And lastly, stay away from the work Christmas party outfit hell: a jumpsuit. If you’ve had one Christmas tipple too many, do you remember how difficult it is to get to the toilets in a hurry?
How to dress appropriately for a Work Christmas Party?
So, there are usually 1 of 3 different Work Christmas Do’s. We’ve got the Private Party, calling for glitz & glam; the Sit Down Meal, requiring a smart/sexy look and drinks at the Local Bar Look, which is a more casual chic style. Check out my stunning Christmas Party Outfit for every budget!
After this, we hope you have more of an idea about what to wear to your own Christmas party! Wanna see what the Fashiola team will be wearing? Head to our Instagram on Friday 14th for guaranteed updates on what the editors will be wearing to our own Christmas party! We'd love to see what your Christmas party outfit will be - remember to tag us! And any office gossip too ;)
