Oktoberfest Fashion

Raise a glass, and celebrate the Bavarian celebration from the 16th of September to the 2nd of October. The traditional festival, which originates from Germany, was originally held to honor the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig's marriage to the Princess. Over here, it is celebrated like no other with beer, classic german lederhosen fashion and pretzels.

Many love wearing traditional wear like the Bavarian Dirndl dress with a pron tied aroud it (below the knee dress usually with checkers), or lederhosen (high cut suede shorts with suspenders). If you’re one of those who doesn't want to go full out but still want to be in the Bavarian spirit, then read these following tips on modern spins of Okotberfest Fashion.

Dungarees shorts + Shirt

Replace those lederhosen with dungaree shorts to create a modern look. Whether you go for the classic denim look, or colored dungarees, pairing this with a white shirt or checkered shirt under it will give you that Bavarian fashion you are looking for. Add some white high knee socks if you want to go full out!

Midi Skirt + White shirt + Suspenders

Midi skirts work as a great replacement to the traditional wear. Get yourself a checkered skirt and pair it with a white t-shirt and add some suspenders. This look is easy but yet still gives you the Bavarian look you are searching for.

Checker midi dress + White shirt

Checkered midi dresses are also a great way to instantly get the look you are looking for. The dresses usually have a specific cut so try and look for short sleeved or sleeveless dresses that are tight around the waist and flow out at the bottom.

Remember, wearing open toed shoes is probably not the smartest idea.
